Presenting:
COCONUT ROBOT
My Official BlogHer10 Sponsor

August 4th, 2010 {comments} 46

What do these two wondrous things have in common?

This year at Blogher
I am attending under the direct sponsorship of….dum da dum….

Coconut Robot.

(Yes. That is their name and I am oh so very proud to be their sponsee.
Because is ANYTHING COOLER than being ‘The Coconut Robot Girl’?
No, there is not.)

Coconut Robot is made up
of the FABULOUSLY chic husband and wife team,
Kacia and Andy:

DO YOU NOT LOVE THEM??

Kacia and I have formed up our “BlogHer Team”
through a flurry of emails, phone calls,  prayer, and shared interests.
I have never met someone so sweet and devoted to her family, craft, and faith.
(you have to go see her blog here)

Her goal is to grow her little bit of splendor into a whole LOT of splendor–
so she can become a full time Coconut Robot crafter.

And how can she NOT succeed with her particular brand of style?

I want one or two of ALL.

All of Coconut Robot’s genius items for children,
are made in a sustainable fashion and entirely by hand.
Infused with hope for the future
and a modern sense of comfortable style.

Can’t you just see little toddlers dashing about
in their “Hello My Name Is”onesies
and tall knit Norway wool boots?

Goodness.
The Style.

When Kacia and I meet up for the first time in the Big City Apple,
I am sure squeaks of joy shall resound.
How can you not want to be besties with this?

J’Adore.

If you plan to attend Blogher this year,
PLEASE find me…as I’ll be bearing Coconut Robot splendor,
AND Kacia herself will be there with me!
She is bringing some of her PRECIOUS
handknit baby boots, wooden tags, and other lovelies.

See what she MADE US??

I swoon, and then I die, and then I swoon some more……

….. then I see these and I go straight to Heaven.

Please show your support of my fabulous and lovely sponsor
by searching Coconut Robot’s shop,
and tweeting out how wonderfully cool they are.

Doing so (and leaving a comment telling me you have)
MIGHT just count as extra entries into super special giveaway.

AHEM.

Besides everyone knows we do

‘The Robot’

at conferences all the time anyway ;)

Besties at Blissdom.

Thank you Coconut Robot
–for existing in all your amazingness…
and for sponsoring me to attend Blogher as your CocoRo girl.
My heart can’t handle the happiness.

Allora Handmade
(prettiness for Blogher)

Do you see?

Allora Handmade
is the brainchild of the gorgeous person that smiles like this:

I love her already<3

Jessica began Allora Handmade while her husband was back in school full-time
and she was busy with two small children in a new town.
Her creative genius took over
and she began churning out posey encrusted accessories
that are sure to receive the fairytale kingdom’s seal of approval.
Every single item she makes
is so perfectly detailed,
so full of whimsy,
that I am positively sure
a heart-song was infused into every inch.

They make me happy just looking at them.

When Jess decided to adorn me with her gorgeous creations
for my trip to BlogHer, I was beyond overjoyed.

Then her package arrived and I squealed myself hoarse.

************
For the lucky ones I shall be meeting and greeting in New York
she is sending these little lovelies to share:

And look what she had printed on the back!

I die of love.

So,
I shall be ‘the girl in the roses’ for this conference.
And I honestly can’t think of anything more fitting <3

Please stay tuned for a giveaway from Allora Handmade
to be announced when I return from The Big City Apple!

i like to see with my eyes.

casting them out over this landscape,
and reeling in these thoughts:

of turning the soil
and planting
the empty field.

of suddenly: wheat.
suddenly: a hand in mine
and running breathless
to the forest border.

standing quickly still
we are under buttercup sun;
we have songs of freckling shoulders.

*****

Is it blue ink from this pen
or is it the fabric between the clouds

SKY SKY SKY

(and I’ve recycled
another deposit slip
into another poem
on a Sunday Drive)
