We ate things in the shape of hearts.
(and yes, Mac’s nose is absolutely
running into his doughnut frosting.
Life, people:)
We gave notes that contained tiny messages spelling out mama devotion.
We talked about what True Love really is.
That night, Wolf took me out to dinner and a movie–
about blue people from another planet (i.e. Avatar).
We wore 3-D glasses, ate pasta, had Wedding Cake martinis
and generally felt very grown up indeed.
(Sort of:)
There is love in my life, even on bad days–more than I deserve.
From above and here on earth.
Que je puisse être rendu parfait amoureux dans Son Amour.

"May the love of
our Lord be with
you. Now and always
may you stay blameless
'till He comes."
Sweet! Did you enjoy the movie? I’d love to see that again only without the glasses this time.
I love me some yummy pasta, too.
I actually really really liked the movie–made me wish the forest would light up under my feet as I tiptoed (kitty-like) through it:)
The glasses, however, gave me a headache.
What did you do<3?
Sweet day… in every sense of the word!
I loved it and got a headache too…
And yes, you can be made perfect. That is Grace in action. Amazing, huh?
Sigh. Yes:)
Sometimes the “being made” part of it is hard though……
Each day; another 24 hours on the Potters Wheel. Falling off, smashing to the floor–being picked up and remolded.
His patience far outweighs my own.
ooo your date sounds fancy! wedding cake martinis??!! I love the little hands holding the teeny heart.
oh that pic of pix’s hands with the heart is super cute.
yay for movie night!
i’m going out for VALENTINES day tonight with a bunch of friends.
We had dinner by candlelight with the kids last night and our standard Valentine’s fare of pasta. I looked across the table at my husband and grinned at the sight of all the children sitting between us around the candles. It was a far cry from the quiet romantic meals we used to try for before kids. (something always went wrong or the food was terrible.) And it was absolutely perfect. Even if I did have to sweep a bunch of noodles off the floor afterward. But I’d still love a date night soon…
We actually didn’t even know we’d GET a date out until the last minute! We had a Valentines Day breakfast, church, love naps with the kiddos, and then we were just going to hang out at my parents house for the evening. They surprised us by offering to watch all four of the babes and sent Wolf and I out for a night on the town<3 It was lovely but, you know—I still feel dinner by candlelight, with the children included, is far superior.
So happy you had such a warm family moment:)
Your pictures are priceless. I spent my Love day getting married! It was perfect, but a wedding cake martini sounds so yummy. Maybe next year for our anniversary
You GOT MARRIED ON VALENTINES DAY??? As in THIS Valentines Day???
That is so excited—will you post pictures? I am so happy for you. That is the best way to plan out a Love Day that I’ve heard yet:)
That sounds lovely… Our Valentine’s Day has become somewhat more for the kids than a romantic holiday, although we still managed a yummy dinner at home after the kids were in bed (with champagne and everything!).
The best thing I did was invent a funny story for the kids’ valentine that included me attaching bits of candy as part of the story. They still are reciting the story to each other, candy not important.
Yes! Here’s a link to only two pictures so far. We are still waiting on the professional ones. <3

The little man looks o-so-handsome.
The only word I have for you is, “squee!”
So happy for your LOVELY Valentines Day celebration<3
I love those glittery love letters. What a fun way to celebrate and spend an ordinary day.
